Your hosts, Dr. Ian Rocha and Dr. Brent McNabb have known each other for almost 45 years since they met in Brazil while Brent served in the Peace Corps. They both share a passion for chiropractic and for sharing the beauty and wonders of Brazil.
Brent’s mother, Betty McNabb, DC, visited Brazil during his stay. Her passion for chiropractic and the amazing results she achieved with Ian’s family and friends, helped set in motion a seemingly unstoppable force that ultimately established the profession in Brazil at a pace never seen internationally. That force was Ian’s mother, Sira Borges, D.C., M.D. After meeting Dr Betty McNabb, she went on to graduate from Palmer College in 1990, was key to the formation of the Brazilian Chiropractic Association in 1992, and worked hard with a small dedicated group to create the first university program for chiropractic in South America which graduated its first class in 2001.
